Why AAA+ is worth the jump
At Best Value Weed, AAA+ is the shelf where value and craft start to meet in the middle. You're still firmly in sensible-price territory, but the cultivators we source from at this tier are doing a longer cure, a more careful trim, and paying closer attention to how the flower looks, smells, and burns when it reaches the jar. The difference between AAA and AAA+ isn't dramatic on paper — maybe three to four extra percentage points of THC and a week or two more in cure — but it's obvious in the hand.
You'll notice AAA+ buds are tighter, denser, and hold their structure better when ground. The aroma when you open the bag is richer — less grassy, more fruit or fuel or pine depending on the strain. The ash burns a cleaner grey. These aren't photo-shoot nugs, but they're a long way from filler.
Who AAA+ is for
People who've been smoking AAA and want to see what an extra step costs them. Weekend smokers who don't run through an ounce a week but want something that smells great when they open the jar. Joint rollers who want a smoother draw without the AAAA+ price. Anyone who used to buy premium at a different shop and wants to see what our equivalent looks like.
Common strain families at this tier include hardy workhorse genetics — Wedding Cake, Gelato crosses, OG phenotypes — that perform consistently without needing ideal conditions to show their best. Expect THC between 18 and 22 percent, terpene content noticeably up from AAA, and a smoke that rewards a slower pace.
How we price AAA+ by size
AAA+ is $9 per gram, $28 for an eighth (3.5g), $52 for a quarter (7g), $90 for a half (14g), and $140 for a full ounce (28g) — roughly $5 per gram at volume. The ounce is still the clear best-per-gram value, but the eighth and quarter sizes make more sense here if you rotate between shelves.
If AAA+ feels like the right level for your wallet but you want a bit more in the jar, look at AAAA+ next. For the full methodology behind these grades, see our grading guide.
